Tips For Safe Winter Driving

When it comes to driving this winter with early darkness and bad weather remember these tips: Be alert to the conditions of the weather. Slow down if it is rainy or icy. You may not know that the pavement is compromised and landing on an ice patch can cause you to skid. If you do, turn the wheels in the direction of the skid until you straighten up. Increase the distance between you and the car in front of you. Use low beam headlights during a snow storm as high beam tend to reflect light and obstruct the vison of oncoming traffic.
